Integrating with Facebook / Instagram Meta Sharing

The Meta Sharing integration allows your nonprofit’s fundraising campaigns on GivenGain to be shared more effectively across Facebook and Instagram, utilizing native sharing features optimized for engagement and visibility.

When supporters share their fundraising project to Facebook or Instagram, the post will include a donate button and show the amount raised by the project — making it easier for others to support the cause.

Note: This feature is not available for fundraising projects that use split donations.

The Meta Sharing integration allows your nonprofit’s fundraising campaigns on GivenGain to be shared more effectively across Facebook and Instagram, utilizing native sharing features optimized for engagement and visibility.

What are the requirements to use the Meta Sharing integration?

To enable Meta Sharing, your nonprofit must meet the following criteria:

  • Facebook Page: Your nonprofit must have an official Facebook Page.
  • Facebook Fundraising Tools: Your organization must be onboarded with Facebook’s fundraising tools: Sign up here.

Which countries is this integration available in?

Currently, this integration is only available to nonprofits in the following countries:
Australia, Belgium, Canada, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Puerto Rico, Spain, United Kingdom, United States.

How do I enable the Meta Sharing integration?

Follow these steps to enable the integration:

  • Log in to your GivenGain charity account here.
  • Navigate to Account Settings → Integrations.
  • Select Meta Sharing integration.
  • Search for your charity using your Tax ID.
  • Click Enable Integration.

Once enabled, your campaigns will be optimized for sharing on Facebook and Instagram.
