Objective: Fundraising minimums enable an event organiser or charity to establish a minimum amount that fundraisers must raise for a specific event, such as when fundraising for a charity entry at a sporting event instead of purchasing the entry directly.
To participate in an event with a fundraising minimum, a fundraiser is required to provide their credit card details and commit to raising at least the minimum amount by the designated milestone dates as determined by the event organiser or charity. On the specified date(s), the fundraiser’s credit card will be charged the difference between the minimum amount and the total donations raised. For instance, if the fundraising minimum is $3,500 and the fundraiser raises $3,000, a charge of $500 will be applied on the deadline.
