When donating via GivenGain, a donor has the option to cover any fees related to their donation on behalf of the beneficiary charity. Fees include the GivenGain Foundation's fee and transaction fees to cover bank and credit card company charges and other associated costs. An optional, an additional contribution can also be added to support the work of the GivenGain Foundation.
By covering the fees, the donor ensures that 100% of their intended donation amount reaches the charity. And with over 80% of donors opting to cover the fees, it results in the charity only paying 1.3% in fees overall, effectively!
Note: Only the donated amount (irrespective of whether any fees are covered by the donor) will appear on the public fundraiser project, event page or charity page.
